Fulfilling the mission of the Boy Scouts of America is Jack Tejcek’s constant focus. After earning the rank of Eagle Scout as a youth, he served as an assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster, committee member and Cubmaster of Pack and Troop 496, chartered to the Mason Ridge Elementary School PTO. He served his district as a Friends of Scouting trailblazer and assisted with logistics with the council’s popcorn sale. He assisted the New Horizons District Roundtable and adult leader training staff. He completed Wood Badge training and was an assistant Scoutmaster and Scoutmaster during four National Youth Leadership Training courses. He is a member of the district camping committee and was campmaster advisor for the Klondike Derby. He worked on several Cub Scout Leader Pow Wow staffs and was co-dean of the Youth College at the University of Scouting. He received his district’s Award of Merit and is a James West Award recipient. He is an elder and deacon in the Presbyterian Church where he participated in nine week-long summer youth work camps, including several to Mexico. He is the proud husband of Dr. Jackie Schwarz, and father to Life Scout Jim and Eagle Scout John Tejcek. |
