Eagle Scout Stan Latimer is a living example of the Scout Oath and Law to hundreds of youth he influenced throughout his Scouting service. He served as a committee member and committee chairman of Troop 311, chartered to the Jackson (Mo.) Optimist Club, during the last 12 years. He is currently an associate Advisor for Venturing Crew 248. He served his Order of the Arrow chapter as an advisor and is an associate lodge advisor of the Anpetu-We Lodge. He was a contingent leader for the 2006 National Order of the Arrrow Conference. He received the Founder’s Award from the Anpetu-We Lodge. He completed Wood Badge training and served on his district’s Boy Scout Leader Training staff for seven years. He is an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and served as an Extraordinary Minister and helped others learn about the faith in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults program. He also helped Scouts earn their religious emblems. He served our country as a member of the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He is a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow, received his district’s Award of Merit, and the St. George Award. He is the father of an Eagle Scout.
