| Scout Troops, Packs and Crews Get Ready for the Valley of the Flowers
Parade: Valley of the Flowers Parade is scheduled for Sunday,
May 8, 2011. This is the perfect time to show our community that Boy
Scouts of America is alive and well in the North Star District! Many people in
our community come out to the Valley of the Flowers Parade, so come show your
Scout Spirit. If your unit would like to walk the parade route with us, please
send an email to Carrie VanNest at Carrie.VanNest@gmail.com. Please indicate your unit number
and the approximate number of people walking with your unit. Carrie will send
you all the information needed to organize your unit on parade day. The parade
will begin on the 8th at 1:45pm. This means you will need to be at our assembly
place no later than 1:15pm. Carrie must know if your unit will
participate NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, APRIL 22ND. Units are able to pass
out candy, beads, etc. However, we are not allowed to throw items to spectators
or pass out any flyers or advertisements for our organization. Unit banners and
flags are encouraged.
