Forest Park Twilight Fishing Camp

This post is intended to give your family important information to support you and your scout in preparing for a great time at Twilight camp!

·  All activities will take place at the Fish Hatchery at Forest Park - 21 Grand Drive 63112 (please see attached map)

·  Please park on Grand Drive and walk your scout into camp.

·  Please be aware of the weather!  If rain is in the forecast please stay close to camp.  If it rains, we will be ending camp early due to rain and your cubs can be picked up at the emergency shelter.

On Monday, scouts should plan on arriving around 5:00 for check-in.  Scouts should arrive 5 - 10 minutes early during the rest of the week.

Parents MUST stay with their scout until his "Walk-Around Parent" arrives and your scout is checked in.  Also please plan to pick up your scout ON TIME.

All scouts must be signed in AND out EVERYDAY.  Scouts arriving late or leaving early must sign in/out with both Den Leader and at the Registration Desk.  NO Exceptions.

Camp must have a phone number where you or someone who can pick-up your scout can be reached in case of illness, injury, weather, or removal from camp. Your Pack Coordinator will also use this number if camp must be canceled due to weather or other emergency.

Scouts will receive camp T-shirts on Monday and it should be worn all week.  This helps camp staff easily identify those that belong at camp.

Scouts should wear comfortable shoes and socks everyday.  Also, please have your scout bring a water bottle with his NAME ON IT.  We recommend that you fill your water bottle halfway the evening before camp and freeze it overnight.  Top it off with water in the morning.  There will be water available for refilling bottles throughout camp.

Parents and siblings are strongly encouraged to attend camp all day on Thursday.  We will be having a Parent/Cub sports competition, Fishing Derby and campfire.

If you have not completed the Health Forms please do so now by printing out the attached Health Form Part A and B.  In order to speed up registration and have your scout enter camp please try to have these completed before you come!

Can you please review the follow camp site rules with your Scouts:

1.    We do not throw rocks into the lakes.

2.    We do not harass the wildlife.

3.    The lakes we are fishing are educational lakes only and can not be fished outside of our camp dates.

All fishing equipment will be provided and the scouts will have multiple opportunities to hook into one of the large fish located at the hatchery!

I would like to thank you for signing your scout up for our Twilight fishing camp and look forward to meeting you all.

If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call at 314-374-6013
