The District Award of Merit is the highest award a district can bestow upon a volunteer. It is given to registered Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature - to Scouting and the community - at the district level. Nominations are accepted for anyone eligible in North Star District. See the requirements on the attached form. You must submit the attached nomination form. Supporting letters of recommendation are encouraged.
We are able to award up to three District Awards of Merit for the 2012 year. Please nominate someone from your unit or the district you feel is deserving of this noteworthy award.
Nominations must be received no later than December 6, 2012. Submit them to North Star District Award of Merit Chairman Sue Lindstrom
or submit to the council office (attention Mark Hays) for forwarding to Sue Lindstrom. They are reviewed by a committee of volunteers and the awards are presented at the annual recognition dinner in January.
