|  As many, if not all of you, know two years ago the Boy Scouts of America mandated that all adult leaders are required to take Youth Protection Training. Due to some technological issues, we were unable to enforce this mandate, until now.
Our council is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of the youth we serve. For this reason, all registered adults in the Greater St. Louis Area Council must be youth protection trained by the end of 2012. If a leader is not current with their training, their membership will be dropped at re-chartering.
In order to make this process as easy as possible, the District Training Committee will be offering Youth Protection Training at multiple upcoming district events:
- 1. The Fall Encampment at Beaumont Scout Reservation.

- 2. Cub Scout Leader Training
- a. Saturday, October 27th, 8:00am
- b. St. Francis Cabrini, 3022 Oregon Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63118
- 3. Venturing Leader Training
- a. Saturday, October 27th, 8:00am
- b. St. Francis Cabrini, 3022 Oregon Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63118
- 4. November District Roundtable
- a. Monday November 5th, 7:00pm

- 5. December Roundtable.

The District Executive, in conjunction with the District Training Staff, will also be willing to come to your Pack, Troop, or Committee meetings, and hold the training in person.
Of course, the training can be completed online at www.MyScouting.org. To ensure that our database is updated when you complete the training, your name and membership ID# must exactly match our records. So, if you wrote Robert on your adult application but enter Bob on the website, our records will not update. The best plan would be when you complete the online training, email a copy of the completion certificate to the District Executive and he will turn it in to the Training Department.
